At The Nurture Mama, we are insured by ZEST Health Innovation Consultancy Limited. Our midwives are registered with and regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the same as NHS midwives, and are therefore subject to the same supervision.

Yes, if you opt for a certain Complete Midwifery package this will absolutely be possible

Antenatal appointments most of the time take place in the comfort of your own home, however we understand that sometimes this may not be possible and are prepared to come to a plan B with you. In terms of timing of appointments we will be very much lead by you, we encourage evening and or weekend appointments as we know this is often when more people are available.

A change of package can take place however despite best will, changing to a Complete Midwifery package from an antenatal, postnatal or combined one may be a little harder to achieve. It really will depend on any clients who have already been booked in for labour and birth care and or support and when their on-call periods are. On the contrary, antenatal to a Combined Midwifery package (Antenatal and Postnatal) for example should be guaranteed.

We will always support you and communicate with you in a sensitive manner, and we will be even more conscious of this at a time like this. A refund will be given in this situation, however if your first or any subsequent full antenatal consultations (from approx. 12/40 weeks and not the booking appointment) have taken place a deduction of £100 (basic price for individual antenatal consultation) per consultation will be made from your refunded amount.

We would endeavour to find you a well-suited midwife to take over your care, and hopefully you may even have had the opportunity to meet them at some point in your pregnancy. There is a small chance that this is not achievable and in this situation a refund of £1200 will be refunded to you.

In this situation we would not be insured to care for you during your labour and birth. Provided we were available and not likely to be needed for another client, we would be happy to remain alongside you supporting you in a birth partner capacity, so that all that nurturing during your pregnancy can be benefitted from. In this case we would refund you £500. If no midwife is available to be with you during your labour and birth in a birth partner capacity, an amount of £*** will be refunded to you. Your postnatal care should be expected to remain the same.

If you were to opt for induction, in this situation we would not be insured to care for you during your labour and birth. Provided we were available and not likely to be needed for another client, we would be happy to remain alongside you supporting you in a birth partner capacity, so that all that nurturing during your pregnancy can be benefitted from. In this case we would refund you £500. If no midwife is available to be with you during your labour and birth in a birth partner capacity, an amount of £700 will be refunded to you. Your postnatal care should be expected to remain the same.

In the unlikely event that you go past 42 weeks of pregnancy, we would not be insured to care for you during your labour and birth. Provided we were available and not likely to be needed for another client, we would be happy to remain alongside you supporting you in a birth partner capacity, so that all that nurturing during your pregnancy can be benefitted from. In this case we would refund you £500. If no midwife is available to be with you during your labour and birth in a birth partner capacity, an amount of £700 will be refunded to you. Your postnatal care should be expected to remain the same.

In this situation, we would offer you some sort of a refund based on your individual circumstances. It is expected that your midwife would transfer in with you and assume a birth partner role in your labour and birth which would mean that a refund of £500 would be yours.
